The quality management system (QMS) of 3D LifePrints, a leading 3D technology company that provides innovative solutions for the medical field, has obtained ISO 13485:2016 certification.
As an internationally recognized standard of excellence, ISO 13485:2016 is a set of strict guidelines for the medical device industry. This standard ensures that an organization maintains its specific level of quality and compliance when designing, manufacturing, and selling medical devices. This certification enables 3D LifePrints to expand its industry-leading point-of-care model, launch a new series of sterilizable surgical guides and anatomical models for patients, while continuing to provide its existing customized medical equipment.
The certification is supported by Embedmed, 3D LifePrints’ digital platform, and includes the design and manufacture of sterilizable equipment in a controlled environment in an embedded center of 3D LifePrints. The delivery time for these types of equipment has been reduced from a few weeks to a few days.
